Beginning with the 2013-2014 school year, 6th grade students will be able to try out fot the following sports teams.
Girls and Boys basketball
Boys and Girls track and field.
Note: 6th grade boys will not be able to try out for football due to the nature of that sport.
Any 6th grade student trying out for a middle school athletic team will need a valid VHSL physical dated after May 1st 2013.
This opportunity is only being offered to the most emotionally mature and physically skilled 6th grade athletes and is not meant to replace the middle school intramural program. The intramural program will continue to be the means that the majority of 6th grade students will have opportunities to participate in physical activities after school. Click for more information.
